Job Description

Working with a growing contractor we have an exciting opportunity for a Design Coordinator. My client are a privately owned design & build contractor who work in sectors including retail, commercial, health & education, hospitality & leisure, industrial and commercial fit out. They are growing year on year and will almost double their turnover by the close of this current financial year, with a real focus on repeat business.

Ahead of a number of new projects they have a requirement to add an experienced Design Coordinator to their team.

Roles & Responsibilities:

You will have particular focus on value engineering and de-risking schemes at pre-construction stage of schemes. You will be involved in the design process on design & build projects keeping to time and to budget. You will also be involved in tender planning, buying and estimating on substantial and complex building projects.

You will be highly motivated, have excellent IT skills and be an effective communicator. The ideal candidate could have a mixed project scope background but with particular education sector experience. Ideally you will be from a setting out engineer background.

The role attracts a negotiable salary of up to £45,000 plus associated package including car allowance, fuel card, pension, healthcare scheme etc.
