Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Delivery, the main duties of the role include:



* Ensuring the Developer Team delivers a programme of new build homes in line with the Developer Business Plan, including ensuring that all criteria within with the Developer pre commencement process has been satisfied
* Seeking out new development sites/opportunities and evaluating their viability to maximise economic, social and environmental return.
* Responsibility for the delivery of the development programme across all tenures.
* Building relationships with key partners that will support the Trust in delivering new build homes.
* Researching and implementing innovative solutions to deliver schemes that generate value for money or unlock difficult development sites.
* Developing, updating and embedding policies, procedures and strategies that relate to the Developer Business Plan to ensure best practice.
* Managing and reporting on budgets and performance information at an individual and programme level and using this information to drive continuous improvement.
* Ensuring that internal and external customer views are used to develop and deliver high quality homes and excellent customer service.
* Ensuring that marketing and PR mechanisms are in place for all developments to ensure that homes are both sold and let in a timely manner.
* Ensure the Developer Team handover all developments in line with the scheme handover process.
* Provide expert support and leadership to the Developer Team encouraging staff to maximise learning and development opportunities.
* Maintaining an excellent knowledge of the external environment and identify areas of best practice that can be applied to Developer, ensuring that the team is kept up to date on housing and development changes.The successful candidate will have had at least two years' experience of on-site new build development and experience of managing a delivery programme. Project Management experience is essential for this role. Additional skills and knowledge include experience of successful collaboration within a multi-agency partnership working environment, an understanding of the public sector context and a strong understanding of contract management.
