My client a successful residential developer who has schemes across the North West are looking to bring an experienced Document Controller to join their team based at one of their head offices in Speke.
The role for a document controller would be for the timely, accurate and efficient preparation and management of documents. They control the numbering, sorting, filing, storing and retrieval of both electronic and hard copy documents produced by technical teams, projects or departments.
You will implement and set up the document control system and will mainly be based from head office but occasionally be site based for meetings/training.
This scheme is seeking the skills, knowledge and experience of a Document Controller who can head up their remit of this project and who has a main contractor background. Duties will include:
* Set up, copy, scan and store documents load in the a 365 system and distribute to the required developments
* Manage the procures and filing for the contracts
* Manage requests for documentation
* File documents in physical and digital records and ensure appropriate storage
* Review and maintain accurate record, editing where necessary to ensure they are up to date
* To liaise with and distribute project related information with all levels of the project team and potentially external parties
* Manage the processes around documentation within the organisation
* Prepare reports on projects when required liaising with site management
* Potentially training / focus managers on the document sharing within the organisation
Skills, Experience & Knowledge
* Experience of working with either a main civil or construction company
* Experience using software such as Asite, 4Projects, BIW or similar.
* Excellent IT skills.
* Excellent written and spoken communication abilities.
* You will need to understand the design and build process and how the projects progress
Remuneration
Salary £30,000 pension and health care included
Monday - Friday 39 hours per week
