Job Description
Working with a leading contractor, we have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Graduate Site Manager.My client are a highly respected contractor, delivering a mixture of residential schemes throughout the Midlands and beyond. Due to a vast increase in work, they are looking to invest in their next generation of construction Site Managers by way of recruiting a Graduate level Site Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual who has shown a commitment to the industry by completing - or soon to complete - their Construction related degree and is now looking for a large contractor to offer the support and structured career development which they now require as they move into the industry on a full-time basis.
An ideal candidate will have;

The role;
To support current Site Management on both New Build and Refurbishment Developments. Achieve associated accreditation and experience to progress the role into Specific Site Management.
Duties will include however not be limited to:
* Assist the Construction Manager with pre-start detail
* Assist with the preparation of the Health and Safety file
* Maintain and update Construction Phase Health & Safety plan as works proceeds
* Achieving CSCS Black Card accreditation.
* Management of Site Health and Safety
* Recording performance and tracking progress of site operations and sub-contractors.
* Planning the daily resource and control of site labour site and material.
* Financial and commercial awareness
* Liaison with the Client/ Project Team
* Management of site housekeeping, discipline, behaviour etc
* Awareness of possible commercial opportunities
* Co-ordinate Sub-Contractors as appropriate
* Preparation of the site progress reports
* Safe storage and co-ordination of materials
* Provide accurate / timely completion of all site based documentation
* Attendance at all meetings, as and when required
* Prepare and report against Master Programme
* Any other reasonable management request
Management and Implementation of Company Health & Safety procedures / initiatives, including:
* Site Inductions
* Use of PPE
* Management of Method Statements/Risk Assessments
* Work Permits
* Scaffold/Lifting equipment inspections
* In house audits / inspections
* Site house keeping
* Identify training needs
* Management of site housekeeping, discipline, behaviour etc
* To ensure all relevant resident and public complaints are resolved quickly & efficiently
* Any other reasonable management request
Adherence to the Company QA:
* Management of defects
* Compliance with Material Specification & QA Documents
* Subcontractor code of conduct
* Considerate Constructors Scheme
* Management of site housekeeping, discipline, behaviour etc
* To ensure all relevant resident and public complaints are resolved quickly & efficiently
* Any other reasonable management request
