Groundworks Site Engineer

Job Description

My client are a long standing and extremely busy groundworks sub-contractor specialising in roads and sewers packages on new build housing developments.

Owing to a vast increase in work they are currently undertaking a period of growth, both in terms of number of live projects but also therefore, staff count. With the increase in new projects they have a requirement to add an experienced groundworks Site Engineer to their operations site-based team.

Working within a supportive team environment, you will be initially responsible for ensuring that measurements and levels on site are completed correctly. you will be part of the quality assurance team. The role will require use of robotic setting out kit and the use of AutoCAD. experience with these instruments and programmes is necessary.
You will report to the Regional Engineering Manager who will be tasked with your further development as a setting-out engineer over the coming months and years.

The role will see you working on sites throughout Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire.

You will have a minimum of 3 years site based setting-out experience, working in a similar groundworks environment, preferably on roads and sewers packages, but they are willing to consider alternative project experience. You will posses practical experience and carry your CSCS card whilst being fully conversant in utilising Lieca Total Stations.
