Job Description

Our client - Your New Business:
Our client is a renowned regional civil engineering, groundworks and roads contractor based in Merseyside. Having won several contracts over the last 12 months which has secured their business growth for a further 5 years, they are at the start of an exciting upward curve.

The Health & Safety Advisor role:
A brand new expansion position has been created to help the business ensure its excellent reputation for Health & Safety can continue alongside its growth. Working alongside the Health & Safety Director, you will be responsible for site audits and inspections on civils, groundworks and highways jobs across the North West. You'll also have responsibility alongside the Directors for reviewing and improving the Health & Safety management system, policies and procedures.

We are looking for someone who can build relationships with operatives, managers and clients in order to help drive a positive Health & Safety culture. You'll want to engage with

Your skills and experience:

* Being at or working towards Grad IOSH status will be ideal (but not necessary)
* Experience in construction and/or civil engineering and/or groundworks environments will be crucial for the sites you'll be looking after in this role
* Demonstrable ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with construction staff and management
* Experience of subcontractor control, ensuring they are adhering to the Health & Safety terms set out in their contracts and remain loyal to your positive Health & Safety approach
* Audits, inspections, risk assessments and accident reporting

Summary
This is an opportunity either for a junior Health & Safety Advisor to take the next step in their career, and one in which the training and support will be provided to continue your development, or an established Health & Safety Advisor to take autonomy for systems, procedures, and Health & Safety culture in a business whose reach and reputation in the North West construction world is continuing to grow.

Salary, Remuneration & other benefits on offer:
Our client is willing to offer a salary of up £35,000 plus a car allowance (depending on demonstrable experience).
