Job Description
Unique, exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Manager to join a house-builder with a growing reputation and reach across the North - £35,000 - £45,000 salary depending on experience. This is an incredible opportunity for an ambitious Health & Safety professional to join a close-knit management team in a growing house builder based in Leeds, with a blank canvass and the autonomy to develop Health & Safety policy and strategy from scratch, and shape Health & Safety culture in this fantastic business for years to come.
The organisation itself has developed an excellent reputation both for build quality and delivery, and as an employer and developer of high calibre staff. The role will be based form the Leeds office, but will cover operations in Manchester and West Midlands (where they have satellite offices). They have template Health & Safety systems and procedures in place, but are really looking for someone with passion and drive for Health & Safety, and someone who can develop the business' Health & Safety infrastructure whilst also developing their own career.
We're looking for a Health & Safety Advisor or Health & Safety Manager who is NEBOSH Diploma qualified (at Grad IOSH level as a minimum) with experience in the residential sector or new build construction. You will have a demonstrable record of input into the review and development of Health & Safety management systems and policies, and a record of support operational teams and managers to develop a positive Health & Safety culture on busy construction sites.
The role will incorporate all aspects of Health & Safety management, including risk assessment reviews, audits, inspections, and accident investigation (if and when required). You'll also have full autonomy over the development of safe working practices, Health & Safety policies and the overall Health & Safety culture of the business. The role will require some travel to sites when they need your attention, but you'll be free to manage your own diary.
The salary is very much dependent on your experience, but you can expect to be rewarded with between £35,000 and £45,000 (plus a car or allowance), and the package includes a range of other benefits. You will also be joining a developing business that has been able to achieve this success through actively developing and looking after its staff, and their professional development.
In summary - an excellent career opportunity, and a role that will boost your experience and exposure.
