Highways Estimator

Job Description

Our Client who is responsible for maintaining over 50,000 kms of the UK's highways network, is looking to appoint a Highways Estimator to join their team in West London.

This is a full time, permanent opportunity working on a PFI contract with 19 further years to run.

Supporting the project managers, you will be responsible for pricing schemes ranging in value from thousands to multi millions.

* Producing works estimates
* Carrying out out monthly measures
* Agreeing valuation, final accounts, additional rates with client and supply chain when required
* Assist reviewing and setting up contracts with supply chain partners
* Review and challenge supply chain estimates
* Carry out and agree measures / valuations. - Process contractual administration for the team using NEC principles
* Produce various reports using data from Kheops and other sources.

Previous Highways experience working for a highway contracting business as an estimator or quantity surveyor is ESSENTIAL, as is an understanding of NEC contract.

The ideal candidate will be educated to Degree level or hold an Academic qualification in Estimating or Quantity Surveying. You will also have achieved or working towards accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Quantity Surveying.
