Job Description

To deliver a proactive and holistic housing service to our clients tenants that promotes the development of thriving communities and sustainable tenancies.

To adopt an innovative approach to housing management which includes working in collaboration with a number of different agencies.

Ensure that tenants have all the help and advice they need to sustain their tenancy and remain safe in their homes.

To be a key point of contact for tenancy matters and take ownership in the resolution of queries by working in a holistic manner putting the tenant at the heart of services.

Working in collaboration with the Community Involvement team and Creating Enterprise in developing and promoting services that bring benefits to tenants and their communities.

To develop safe and well-maintained communities through regular presence out in neighbourhoods proactively managing issues and minimalising complaints.

To manage the collection of rent, service charges and recharges and ensure that arrears are actively pursued working closely with the Income Team following Our clients arrears recovery procedure

To have a decent knowledge of welfare benefits in order to work with tenants and/or other services in ensuring the timely payments of rent and minimalise delays. For example, submitting a housing benefit claim and liaising with our clients Housing Benefit team for claim progress.

Ensure an efficient and fair management of ant-social behaviour complaints, which includes close working with the Anti-Social Behaviour Team and liaising with outside agencies such as the Police and Social Services, etc.

Have an understanding of the housing application process/register to be able to advise tenants correctly on relevant matters that relate to moving home and work together with the Home Finder to achieve fair outcomes. This includes the promotion of Homeswapper website.

To identify tenants who require specialist support and signpost tenants as necessary and regularly engage with those services.

Be responsible for collecting and maintaining tenancy related information, including sensitive and personal data, in line with data protection legislation using a digital device.

Work in collaboration with North Wales Fire and Rescue Services in providing measures and advice on fire safety.
