Job Description

I am working with a Windows & Doors Timber Manufacturers. New position for Installation Manager. They work with one of the world's most valuable renewable resources. New techniques of laminating timber, combined with modern construction methods, place our client as one of the leading UK manufacturers of high performance windows and doors. Our extensive range is the preferred choice of architects, specifiers, housing developers, contractors and merchants throughout the country.

Installation Manager Job Description

* Managing the installation process from conception through to completion.
* Represent the company in the day to day running of sites, professionally, effectively and efficiently and promptly resolving any issues on site.
* Attending pre-start site meetings, ensuring Customer Service and Health and Safety guidelines are being adhered to.
* Preparing for the job. Risk Assessments, site surveys and access, Health and Safety.
* Booking in installation jobs.
* Organising delivery dates between the factory and site management.
* Recruiting of sub-contract installation labour, when needed.
* Manage the on-site sub-contractor installers effectively and efficiently. Facilitate toolbox talks with installation team.
* Ensuring high levels of fit quality are achieved.
* Ensuring installation completion dates are being met.
* Attend site meetings with the main contractor. Ensure prompt and effective communication between the main contractor and our office. Recording and promptly resolving any issues on site which are adversely affecting our ability to install.
* Agree work measure valuations with the main contractor and our sub-contract labour. Passing across to our office information required to apply for payment from the main contractor, and pay our sub-contractors
* The majority of the work is based in the South of England, this role would require someone working from home and arranging daily visits

The Ideal Person:

* Must have experience of working on construction sites.
* Installation Management experience is desirable
* Experiences within the window industry is desirable.
* Computer skills, using Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook
* Able to communicate with all levels and types of people.
* Be able to plan work well, and to be well-organised, and prepared for responsibility and decision making.
* Full driving licence, with 3 points or less.
* CSCS Card
* Knowledge of contracts, JCT type in particular
