Job Description

I am currently recruiting for a new position within an up-and-coming residential property developer in the Northwest that was established over 2 years ago.

They work across the Northwest and deliver new homes to suit a range of lifestyles and budgets, whilst maintaining and working to the highest quality possible.

As well as building homes for sale, they also work in partnership with build to rent investors, local authorities, registered providers to deliver quality private rented homes that are affordable.

They have a passion and vision to develop partnerships across both the public and private sectors.

Salary: Basic from £35k upwards, depending upon experience, plus car allowance plus bonus plus pension plus Healthcare.

Office working only but Covid Safe.

Essential requirements of a layout designer:-

1 Able to produce conceptual urban layout designs by hand and photoshop.
2 Able to produce master plans and block plans by hand and photoshop.
3 Able to produce 1:500 scale residential sketch layouts by hand in accordance with company brief and LPA/National design policies.
4 Able to produce coloured presentation plans, sections and street scenes for pre-app and public consultation etc.
5 Able to produce detailed plans planning layouts using Autocad.
6 Able to produce Design and Access Statements.
7 Experience in consultant instruction and management.
8 Experience in contribution within meetings with LPA.
9 Experience in the compilation of a planning submission package.
10 Able to Chair internal/external design team meetings.
11 Demonstrate sound knowledge of LPA/National design standards and regional requirements.
12 Experience with Building for a Healthier Living, former Building for Life 12.

Desirable requirements:-

1 Sound knowledge of current building regulations.
2 Experience with low to mid rise Apartment layout.
3 Experience with mixed use schemes.
4 Experience with City 'fringe' developments.
5 Experience with multi tenure developments.
6 Experience with urban place making and CABE/Design Review.
