M&E Package Manager

Job Description

Purpose of the Role

This M E P role is required to support Development, preconstruction, and delivery teams in all facets of MEP and Utility services including design, procurement, and delivery on current and upcoming projects., and will require a passion for first class delivery, implementing best practice and continuous improvement.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

With a flexible approach to supporting all activities, preferably but not limited to:

* Early engagement with the client nominated M E P Consultants
* Input to the M E P and Utility Tender Bid Strategy
* Be responsible for the technical compliance and commercial governance of M E P and Utility tenders throughout the tender bid process as allocated
* Manage all MEP and Utility tender queries during the bid stage
* Design Management of the MEP and Utility Contractor design development activities
* To lead, manage and motivate the project's external consultants to establish their full commercial contribution to the organization
* Assist with the Management and monitoring of M E P and Utility subcontractor project delivery activities and progress on site
* Assist with the management of the commissioning process and compliance of as built and maintenance manuals
* Provide input into the monthly project reporting so that it reflects a true/accurate position regarding the service aspects of the project
* Input to the review of the M&E and Utility sub-contractor performance to assist with the assessment of their suitability
* Assistance with the resolution of defects as required

Work Experiences / Expectations

* Strong MEP delivery background (either main contractor or sub-contractor background) in a senior position.
* Experience in managing and coordinating MEP design and construction teams.
* Experience in managing and coordinating Utility design & Contractors.
* Be self-sufficient and manage work load appropriately

Qualifications / Health & Safety Requirements

* HNC or Equivalent in Building Services Engineering
* A valid CSCS card is a requirement.
* SMSTS

* Good interpersonal and communication skills coupled with the ability to form effective working relationships.
* Experience within the most current forms of procurement.
* Detailed knowledge of codes of practice and other regulatory material.
* Numeracy and bid/report writing.
* Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes with clarity.
* Strong work ethic.
* Demonstrates a passion and excitement for his/her work.
* Tackles problems head-on and resolves without delay.
* Shares knowledge, ideas and expertise with others.
* Is committed to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
