Managing Quantity Surveyor - Housing

Job Description

Our client a major housing contractor / developer seeks a Managing Quantity Surveyor
with one of the industries giants. The role is based in the residential division of the company
overseeing up to 10 schemes at a time with between 100-200 units on each site and values of up to £50 Million.

The applicant will hold the following skills,

Preparing cost to complete documentation in line with the commercial timetable, ensuring financial accuracy when predicting profitability for each scheme.
* Produce accurate monthly accruals.
* Assess exactitude of subcontract valuations/applications for payment, forwarding approved documentation onto the relevant departments.
* Apply risk, value management and cost control mechanisms.
* Undertaking costs analysis comparisons for sub-contracts from tender enquiry to
analysis and contract placement.
* Professionally manage subcontracts from first valuation through to final account.
* Ensure predicted profitability is upheld through the lifecycle of the development.
* Accurate quarterly cash flow forecast of Roads & Sewers spend

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior quantity surveyor or current managing surveyor to
join a professional organisation and comes with a healthy salary package. Previous house building would be preferable and taking initiative and a self-motivator is essential.
