Planner

North West - Manchester



A highly successful and reputable worldwide construction company who have a turnaround of over 1 billion in the UK alone are looking for an experienced Planner who will be reporting to the head of pre-construction.

Purpose of this role requires the Planner to be responsible for the production of programmes, progress reports and associated procurement/design schedules both within pre- construction and live projects.

You will be accountable for producing full logic linked programmes- pre construction and tender, review information and comment on information. You will also have to attend meetings and gather information relating to any implication ensuring accurate completion of any relevant documentation.

Skills which are essential for this position, High level of experience within construction /tender programmes, excellent organisation skills are needed due to the nature of the role, professional attitude and approach to work, high level of ability in MS Excel and report writing, highly essential that the right candidate is competent in the use of Asta Power point. Ability to asses information diligently and efficiently to gather the information required, experience of supporting and working with junior members of staff and assistants

With this role being crucial other attributes require the successful candidate but have the ability to be a good listener and communicator, a team player and able to provide quality information within deadline s and a high knowledge of health and safety.

You capabilities, to demonstrate a good knowledge of the disciplines and functions of the Project Delivery Team and how these integrate together. Understands the implications of company rules and regulations, ensuring a safe environment. Follow standard operating and safety procedures. Flags up potential safety issues. Seeks responsibility and shows a willingness to take on and achieve challenging goals. Takes the initiative to act immediately and taking accountability for actions and outcomes. Shows high motivation, drive and determination to achieve goals set. Respects and co-operates with the team, sharing problems and accepting support. Adopts a friendly and approachable manner; shows tolerance and consideration of others. Works with junior members of staff to support them where necessary. Gathers information and asks questions to understand the context and to check assumptions. Schedules own work, planning ahead and prioritising own workload. Produces high quality work, reacting positively to feedback. Maintains composure and focus under pressure, coping with disappointments or setbacks.

Qualifications, GCSE's, Degree in construction management or similar, willing to work towards Membership of CIOB.

This role you will also require you to have a full clean driving license due to travelling to and from other sites.

The salary of this position is up to £48,000 depending on experience and negotiable
