The role

Due to growth we are looking to recruit a Project QS to work in our prestigious Construction division. The role will be based on sites predominantly in North Wales. Reporting to the Commercial Manager/Senior Commercial Manager you will be responsible the procurement of sub-contractors, preparation and submission of external applications for payment, agreement of Client variations, valuation and agreement of sub-contractor accounts. You will also be required to assist with the preparation of CVR reports, and the submission of monthly profit and loss reports.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Preparing Bills of Quantities

* Issuing of sub-contractor tender enquiries
* Evaluation of sub-contractor quotations
* Convening and attending sub-contractor Pre-Contract meetings
* Preparing formal sub-contract Agreements
* Site measurement of building works undertaken
* Valuation and payment of sub-contractor interim accounts
* Agreement of sub-contractor final accounts
* Assisting in the preparation of monthly CVR reports
* Preparing and submission of monthly Profit and Loss reports
* Preparing and agreement of external Applications for Payment
* Agreement of Client variations

The candidate:

It is essential that you hold a HND or BSc qualification along with a relevant CSCS card. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of construction techniques and processes and will have worked on projects across a variety of sectors ideally health, education, retail and commercial sectors. You will have worked in a similar role and have experience of the various standard building contracts as well as standard method of measurement. It goes without saying that you will be methodical, accurate with excellent attention to detail; you will also be an excellent communicator who enjoys working in a busy and thriving environment.
