Job Description

My client are a highly successful privately owned Main Contractor based in the Lancashire area. They deliver refurbishment and new build schemes up to £10m within the Industrial, Commercial, Retail and Leisure Sectors. Due to continued expansion within the business, they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

The role will be office based covering sites across the North West. Your role will include the procurement of sub-contractors, preparation and submission of external applications for payment, agreement of Client variations, valuation and agreement of sub-contractor accounts, preparation of CVR reports, and the submission of monthly profit and loss reports.

The company are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor who can demonstrate a solid track record of working for reputable Main Contractors on a variety of new build and refurbishment projects. Other requirements include:

* Strong commercial acumen
* Good working knowledge of construction methods and materials and their commercial implications
* Good numeracy & IT skills·
* Ability to carry out the role independently with minimal supervision on numerous projects simultaneously
* Effective communication skills
* Comfortable with deadlines and able to co-ordinate activities effectively to meet required deadlines
