Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Housing Refurbishment

My client are a well- established Main Contractor based in the Lancashire area who deliver new build and refurbishment projects within the Social Housing sector. Due to an increase in workload they are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.

The role will be office based and will involve Site visits which are predominantly located in the Lancashire area. The first project will be an empty homes project in East Lancashire

The company are looking for an Assistant QS with a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience of working for Main Contractors, ideally on refurbishment projects.

Reporting into a Commercial Manager the Assistant Quantity Surveyor duties will include:

* Appointment of Subcontractors
* Materials procurement for work carried out by in house operatives
* Preparation of valuations, management of variations and final accounts for clients and sub-contractors
* Processing of timesheets for Direct Labour
* Contract compliance
* Financial reporting and forecasting
* Maximising profitability and cash
