Job Description

Our client is a leading multi-disciplined contractor, focusing primarily in decommissioning, demolition and environmental services specialising in delivering safe 'end of asset life' and land remediation solutions for our customers working across the UK and Europe.

The business is experienced and expert demolition engineers working within the nuclear, chemical/process, pharmaceutical, energy and natural resources, manufacturing, industrial and public sector.

They provide competitive decommissioning services, including strategy development, hazard characterisation, decontamination (asbestos, radiological and chemo-toxic), de-planting, asset disposal, demolition and land remediation.

They are currently looking to expand our project team due to an increase in work load.

There is an opportunity for an individual to join a dynamic, ambitious and growing company and work as part of a busy team in the Manchester office.

Typical Responsibilities

* Commercial and contract administration.
* Review of contract documents and advise on contract issues.
* Managing and monitoring project costs, tracking progress and forecast to complete.
* Review of project budgets, value and cost analysis and cash flow forecast information.
* Subcontractor procurement (prequalification to contract).
* Preparing subcontract documents, enquiries and assessment of quotations on receipt.
* Placing sub-contract orders, agreement and certification of subcontract valuations, invoice, subcontract payments and final account agreements.
* Management of the change control process, risk and value management.

Manage and track project changes/variations/notices. Assessing and valuing variations and compensation events.

* Preparation and submission of interim valuations/payment applications to client, along with the agreement of final accounts.
* Monitoring recycling revenue on contracts, and liaising with the recycling supply chain..
* Commercial support to the Project and Contract Managers to maintain and deliver the project objectives.
* Production of Commercial Forecasts, Cost Value Reconciliation (CVRs) and Project Finance Reports.
* Attending risk review, progress and commercial meetings on site with the Client. Qualifications and Experience
* A degree, in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or other related discipline.
* Preferred industry experience and have worked in a contracting organisation.
* Knowledge and experience with forms of contract in particular NEC Standard Form of Contract (Options A, C & E) and PSC. Key Skills and Competencies

* Good time management and ability to work to deadlines.
* Advanced level software skills (Google and Microsoft)
