Job Description

Quantity Surveyor Birmingham Salary £40-50,000 plus excellent package depends on experience



The scheme you will be working on will be £200m, 500+ bedroom Build to rent apartment scheme.



My client is the UK's leading developer and manager of residential for rent homes with a focus on the build to rent (BTR), co-living and student accommodation (PBSA) sectors, and is looking to appoint an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor to join this developing and growing team.

In FY2020 they generated gross revenue of circa £500m and a Gross Profit of circa £100m. Their position in the market is based on a 'capital light' model, where we typically work with institutional forward funders. Currently operating 135 sites across the country this is one of the busiest and forward-thinking organisations to join.

An example of current and past projects:

£200m Build to rent apartments

£150m student accommodation

£100m Build to rent apartments

Joining them as Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial function of the contract to which you are allocated.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for:-

* Ensuring timeous procurement of subcontract packages
* Manage subcontractor and client accounts
* Payments and provide commercial reports to the line manager, amongst other functions of the role.
* It is important that you are able to take the lead role in the project you are allocated and that you are confident in liaising with all interested stakeholders to the project.

I am looking for agile, confident, communicative, and experienced candidates who understand the construction process and can work independently or as part of a larger team.

Due to the nature of this role you must be able to display main contractor experience with a solid ground within quantity surveying in PBSA and BtR environments. Additional to this you must have the willingness to travel to various different sites and offices as and when required.
