Repairs Planner - Part Time

Job Description

Our client is a Merseyside based HA who are looking to appoint an new Repairs Planner to work on a part time basis.

To confirm this is a 3 day role working Wednesday-Friday 24 hours in total.



Purpose

To plan, organise and schedule works across a wide range of maintenance activities to ensure customer appointments are maintained and workforce productivity maximised.



Main Duties



* To plan, schedule and organise job/repair work for all workstreams in order to facilitate client contract targets and conditions, including planning & scheduling appointments and minimising downtime of operational staff.

* To deal with internal and external enquires, through positive communication taking ownership of issues and making decisions in relation to work scheduling and planning.
*
* To fully optimise the 'Planning Window' by continually reviewing jobs to ensure that target times booked are realistic and achievable; also by close communication with operatives to ensure that the 'Planner' is driving forward service requirements.
*
* To be responsible for the forward planning of additional resources required to meet peaks in workload and to highlight to the Property/Contract Manager dips in workload and potential spare capacity.
*
* To report back to clients any additional work requirements, ensuring that variation procedures are strictly adhered to.
*
* Take action as required on the progress and scheduling of repairs due to bad weather, poor working conditions or priorities, ensuring that customers are kept fully informed.
*
* To undertake general clerical duties to support the team, specifically in relation to the preparation of letters and correspondence to customers.

The successful candidate will have scheduling experience, ideally have used DRS (Optitime), work well in a small team, understands compliance and be someone who takes ownership for their own workload.
