We have an exciting, unique senior opportunity to secure a permanent position as a Senior Commercial Manager with a major contractor based in Coventry. Your new company has built an enviable reputation within the major construction industry for the delivery of FM Contracts in the Health sectors. Our client has secured a 15 year framework and now requires a Senior Commercial Manager to oversee a Commercial Team.

Your new role
As a key member of our Senior Management Team you will manage the surveying team and provide the commercial lead to deliver the commercial management functions of the business. This will include, but not be limited to, managing the commercial transactions, the reporting, the cash flow management, the management of the contractual relationships and the risk management of the business. You will be in regular contact with the project team, ensuring the best commercial practice is being applied while ensuring that the company policies and procedures are followed at all times. Within your new role you will manage the Commercial team, ensuring employees are motivated and in line with the Company's culture, practices and processes. You will engage with the team to maintaining a culture that promotes teamwork, challenge and continual development.

What you'll need to succeed
To carry out this challenging role you should be chartered Quantity Surveying with a proven track record in a senior commercial role within a contracting environment. You will have a broad knowledge of construction contracts and extensive experience in commercial reporting into a Board of Directors. You will be ambitious, commercially astute and demonstrate excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to influence others and manage and motivate a team.
