Job Description

My client is a highly successful Principle Contractor who work throughout the UK delivering refurbishment and new build projects for Social Housing providers. Due to a strong pipeline of newly awarded projects, they are currently looking to strengthen their operational team with the addition of a Senior Site Manager or Project Manager. The first project you will be responsible for is an 18 month contract involving the external refurbishment of several communal blocks of flats including re-roofing, new windows and doors, EWI and drainage.

Duties include:

* Responsibility for the management, planning, programming & phasing of the project.
* Managing your team; setting objectives and developing people within it
* Acting as the Client point of contact on site
* Ensure best practices and quality are being maintained
* Monitoring and co-ordination of subcontractor activity
* Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the client and designers
* To monitor the progress of the project and manage issues as they arise
* Responsible for all health and safety on site and liaison with the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Manager
* Ensure all documentation is correctly administered and Company Procedures are followed

Previous experience of delivering planned maintenance projects within the Social Housing sector is essential. Experience of external schemes including windows, doors, roofing, EWI is also preferred.
