Senior Site Manager
Job Description
I'm looking to help a key client of ours to recruit an experienced Senior Site Manager for a new scheme in Bolton.Over the years we've seen a number of developers look to self-deliver, often given poor or frustrating experiences with main contractors delivering poor results on schemes, time after time. Our client are the result of this - set up as a main contractor a few years ago now, with the sole intention of effectively self-delivering schemes moving forward.
My client - the main contractor - are currently on site at a handful of schemes throughout the North West; all new build residential schemes consisting of new build houses & apartments for both private open market sale and HA occupancy.
Their latest scheme is a brand new development in Bolton; consisting of 45 townhouses & x 4 apartment blocks to be constructed in phases, over the coming years.
I personally know the MD as a client of mine for a number of years previously. He and the team he's brought in at the companies inception are a nice, personable bunch, who'll entrust experienced managers to do their job and leave them to do so. None of the micromanagement of the big PLC's you might be used to.
They require an experienced Site/Senior Site Manager to oversee 2 of the apartment blocks (steel frame, SFS external walls on piled foundations etc) with a further 2 to be confirmed in due course.
This will be to report to a site based Senior Project Manager but will see full responsibility for the Apartments Contract including programme coordination & management, sub contract coordination, quality management, SHE Management,.
Obviously they will need to understand cost control and will be required to provide leadership for the team below them; to include Section Managers and/or Finishing Managers when programme requires.
Support around them - in addition to the Senior Project Manager - will include an allocated Design Manager, Planner, Senior QS and Senior Engineer.
This would be a fantastic time for an experienced and ambitious individual to join this company given the growth they'll see as a main contractor in the coming 2 to 5 years which will undoubtedly see further career progression opportunities.
Salary on offer is negotiable but could range from £55k to £62k + a strong benefits package (including car allowance, milage at 25p/mile, 3% pension, private health-care offerings & 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays).
