Senior SIte Manager

Job Description

My client are a multi-diciplinary construction group known throughout the industry for their long-standing history of successful project delivery often with key repeat clients or frameworks.

Following another successful tender they are soon to begin a £20m education sector major refurbishment, in Leeds City Centre. The project is a strip-out and major restructuring refurbishment project set in a live university environment, alowing the ongoing use of the building around an existing tenant during the refurbishment works.

Set across 2 phases, the scheme will run through to late 2021.

They now require a Senior Site Manager to be part of the construction delivery team on this scheme, reporting to the Project Manager and overseeing a team of Site Managers and Foremen. As such this individual will be experienced in delivering major works project in live education environments with a value of minimum £10m. They will have a particular focus on maintaining excellent quality and H&S standards. You will have a minimum of 5 years experience operating at such level and on such schemes.

The Senior Site Manager, will be responsible for:

* Organise all labour on site, including Site Managers, site staff and sub-contractors
* Quality Control
* Programme Management
* Make sure all plant and machines are used efficiently on site
* Maintaining safety records
* Keeping site records up to date
* Maintain filing system
* Checking time sheets
* Ensuring safety/scaffold/plant register is up to date

* CSCS card holder
* Previous experience on similar city centre education schemes
* Experience in dealing with architects, engineers, clients, sub-contractors
* Ability to communicate with staff at all levels
* Health and safety awareness
* SMSTS, First Aid at Work qualification, Fire Marshal certificates etc.
