Job Description

Our client are a well established main contractor who specialise in delivery of new build housing devleopments across the North West & North Wales regions.

Owing to a vast increase in work won over the coming few years, they're looking to recruit an additional H&S / SHEQ Advisor to their Warrington based team, reporting to the Construction Director.
Based out of the Warrington office, the role will see regular visits to construction sites across the North West & North Wales regions.



Main Purpose of Job:

* Assist with writing and implementing the H&S policies and procedures
* To respond to any SHEQ queries from colleagues and to assist with monitoring employees to ensure the correct procedures are being adhered too
* Promote a positive SHEQ culture throughout our sites, highlighting and promoting best practice
* Carrying out audits on all sites and reporting all results to the relevant senior members of staff.
* Support & Produce Construction phase plan along with construction team
* Produce and Review RAMS when necessary.
* Assist with reviewing SHEQ policies.
* Undertake accident/incident investigations
* Assist with delivery of SHEQ Induction to all new employees.
* Produce and maintain SHEQ training support materials.
* Support with updating SHEQ training matrix & Training procedure being followed.
* To deal with purchasing and payments for SHEQ related items.
* Coordinate the delivery of Health and Safety training
* Maintain Integrated management system for compliance with iso 9001, 14001 & 45001
* To support SHEQ in all communications
* Collate minutes during SHEQ meetings and produce meeting reports
* To support and produce reports when require or internal and external use
* To support the Pre-construction department when required.
* Support Document control in collecting information for H&S files.
* Produce site set up packs when require.
* Support other departments when required.

Qualifications required

* NEBOSH Certification
* Environmental qualification not essential but some experience required.
* Any other related H&S training.

Experience

* Proven track record of a minimum of 5 years working within a Construction Company.
* Experience of managing health and safety on construction projects.
* Maintain accreditation in relevant qualifications.
