Job Description

My client are an established and recognised national house builder. They have a fantastic reputation for delivering quality, family homes throughout the North of England and the wider UK. They work nationwide out of multiple regional divisions and offices. I'm working with their Greater Manchester division which currently delivers around 220 units per year - across circa 7 sites - but is on track to more than double this number in 5 years.

They have a number of new developments throughout Greater Manchester and as such are looking to add an experienced residential Site Manager to their regional team. The first project you'd be overseeing would be a 120 unit site in Rochdale, consisting of 2, 3 & 4 bedroom family homes. Epectations would be that you'd oversee circa 30 to 35 units per year through to completion in early 2025. Main Responsibilities;

* Managing the development to maintain and deliver the build programme in accordance with budgets and forecasts; ensuring that the final product is to company standard
* Full responsibility and control of all site staff and sub-contractors including labour only groundworkers/contractors, ensuring that all employees comply with Health and Safety standards
* Liaison with head office, NHBC and local authority departments
* Timely ordering of materials ensuring the build programme can be achieved
* Ensure all NHBC inspections are carried out as required
* Carry out hand-over inspection of properties to the customers in accordance with customer care procedures
* Complete - as soon as practicably possible - any customer-care defects raised in conjunction with the customer care team
* Actively encourage a philosophy of safety, progress, quality and innovation

Ideal Candidate;

* Previous experiences as a Site Manager working on high volume new build housing development.
* Must have extensive knowledge and experience of managing labour only groundworkers/contractors
* Excellent knowledge of construction build programmes
* Strong commercial awareness
* Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes
* Experience of successfully achieving customer service requirements
* Awareness of codes of practice that impact on Construction matters e.g. NHBC, Building Regs, etc.
* Full UK driving licence

Training & Qualifications required;

* SMSTS Qualification
* CSCS Card
* First Aid
* Fire Marshall
* Scaffolding

Package on offer;

* £50,000 to £55,000 basic salary
* Company car or allowance of circa £6,000 per annum
* 13% bonus - linked to agreed KPI's
