Job Description

My client are a leading Regional Contractor who operate throughout the North West. They deliver new build and refurbishment projects up to £15m, and work in most sectors. They are looking to appoint a Site Manager to work as a Number 2 to a Project Manager on a new build Student Accommodation project in Lancashire.

Site Manager duties will include:

* Co-ordination and control of the project, including staff, labour and sub-contractors, from the construction phase through to completion and handover.
* Monitoring overall progress against programmes.
* Monitor projects to ensure they have the correct resources to be completed on time and to the required standard
* Monitor the performance of the workforce on a regular basis and provide training and support where necessary
* Ensure that adequate site records are maintained



Experience required:

* Experience of a similar role working for a main contractor (essential)
* Experience of working as a Site Manager on new build student accommodation or other multi bed projects is desirable.
* Detailed knowledge of building regulations
* Strong leadership and management skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Self-motivated and ambitious
