Job Description
We're currently looking to assist a client in their need for an experienced Housing Site Manager, for their ongoing development of 20 new build homes near Chester. Our client are a privately owned builder of smaller housing developments (often up to circa 30units) and bespoke properties.
We aren't looking at a national PLC environment here, with a constant focus and push on handing plots over as quickly as possible.
They have an ongoing & live development, on the outskirts of Chester, consisting of 20x 4 bed new build, detached homes. Project is currently on programme and under budget. They require an experienced Site Manager to work on a fixed term contract basis (until completion of the job, at least) or traditional freelance basis (via Building Careers UK) to oversee successful completion of the project and handover of the individual plots.
Workload for late 2023 and long into 2024 and 2025 looks strong and there is a strong chance of discussions at a later date, to make this position permanent, should it suit both parties.
The role could suit an experienced Site Manager, happy to work on a contract/freelance basis or even a Contracts Manager looking to sit on a single site, for a period of circa 8 months whilst considering future options. Ultimately my client need a manager experienced with higher-spec new build homes, who can be trusted to take ownership for this scheme through to its successful completion.
Salary (if on a salaried but fixed term basis) is negotiable around £55k to £60k + a car allowance.
Traditional freelance (via BCUK) would see a day rate discussed & agreed following successful interview.
The usual standard requirements of CSCS, SMSTS & First Aid all stand, as a minimum.
