Job Description

A well -established building contractor based in Manchester are looking to appoint a Site Manager for a steel frame student accommodation project in Preston. The project is already out of the ground and will be on site until early 2024.

The company specialise in the delivery of Design & Build projects across a range of sectors including leisure and student accommodation with projects ranging in value from £2m to £20m

Reporting into a Project Manager, the Site Manager duties will include:

* Supervise and effectively manage all subcontractors and labour on Site
* Monitoring overall progress against programmes.
* Liaison with clients and the management team in striving to achieve good standards of quality
* Monitor projects to ensure they have the correct resources to be completed on time and to the required standard
* Monitor the performance of the workforce on a regular basis and provide training and support where necessary
* Ensure Health & Safety standards are upheld at all times.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate a solid track record at Site Manager level for Main Contractors. You will have excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to form effective working relationships. Strong IT skills are also essential for the role. You will also be customer focused, results driven and Health & Safety conscious. A valid SMSTS certificate, First Aid certificate and CSCS Managers Card are also required.
