Job Title: Site Manager

Location: Chester, Cheshire

Salary: £50k basic + competitive package



Are you working for a large volume house builder and looking for a total change of scenery?

My client is currently in the market for a Site Manager to manage one of their up and coming developments in the Cheshire area. You will start with one of the existing site teams and then take over one site of your own of 5 - 25 units.

This is not a volume housing developer. These homes are high end and tailored properties.

With over 50 years' experience in house building, this developer have built themselves a fantastic reputation within the housing sector, building prestigious houses in sought after locations.

My client will offer successful candidates a salary of up to £50k plus competitive package.

Package benefits include but are not limited to; yearly bonus, company car or car allowance, healthcare and pension scheme (contributory).

The successful candidate will be able to manage the site effectively, offering effective problem solving solutions. You will need to be a hands-on manager with a great technical knowledge. This company has a low staff turnover and look after their employee's well. My client is looking for someone who will be committed to the company and is looking for longevity from their next move. Managers from a trade's background will have an advantage in the selection process for this role.

My client is looking for someone who not only has 'hands on' experience, but also who doesn't mind getting their hands dirty. You will be expected to do more on one hand (there is not labourers on site) but you will work in a more pleasant environment and will be given the time and resources to build top quality houses they are proud to hand over to a customer.

You will be responsible for the site you are assigned to and will be call out number one for the security company if there is an activation. It is therefore preferably that you live within 45 minutes of Chester.



Your skills knowledge and experience required include but not limited to:

New build residential experience is essential for the role

Previous experience working for bespoke house builders is preferable

Qualifications and training - desirable

Valid First Aid at Work certificate

Valid SMSTS certificate

CSCS Card at Site Manager Level



Experience

Valid Scaffold Appreciation certificate

NVQ Level 3-4, BTEC diploma in Building Construction or similar



Special requirements

Up to date knowledge of health and safety obligations and building legislation

Trade experience and site experience preferable

Current full UK driving licence
