Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Manager to join our busy Building Services Team. This role is interim while we recruit for a permenant post which the successful applicant.

You will be working on a full time basis working 37 hours per week, based in our modern head office in Birkenhead, Wirral. T

The role of Supply Chain Manager reports directly to the Head of Business Operations and has responsibility for managing one member of staff.

The overall purpose of the role will be to:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record in a supply chain management role leading on Building Supplies projects ensuring that a commercial focus is applied. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal will be required along with good organisational skills and proven ability in prioritising workloads, along with good IT skills including being competent in the use of MS Office suite inc Outlook, Word, Excel & Powerpoint.

To manage Material Supply Partnering Contract with Travis Perkins, to be the main point of contact for any queries and escalated issues from Technicians/Team Leaders/Surveyors and feedback to all parties, to manage and maintain the relationship and work with Travis Perkins to ensure continuous improvement on this contract. To proactively manage relationships with external subcontractors and suppliers ensuring that overall performance and contractual KPIs are monitored on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis and develop financial monitoring procedures against the contractual commitments agreed. Providing advice, guidance and support to Team Supervisors and Estimating / Surveying within Building Services by specifying and recommending appropriate materials required to undertake works that can be quantified as providing value for money. Point of contact for the sub contractor portal and system user training for internal and external staff.
