Job title: Trainee/Graduate Quantity Surveyor

Job Type: Permanent/Full-time
Salary: £18k- £22k (depending on experience)

A well-established leading UK contractor are looking for an enthusiastic and talented Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join their housing division based in Preston. The company have over 100 full time staff and 3 divisions turning over circa £50m annually.

They are currently growing their team and are looking for a number of Quantity Surveyors, across all levels, to join their team. Their QS team currently consists of 6 surveyors with varying experience who report directly into the Commercial Director. Their housing division currently has 3 live sites with plenty of work in the pipeline. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside some experienced Quantity Surveyors for a company where there are plenty of opportunities for career progression.

The ideal candidate would live within commutable distance of Preston and would have some experience within the new build housing industry. My client would be open to interviewing a variety of candidates with differing academic backgrounds. For example, they would be interested in meeting with candidates who have recently graduated with a Quantity Surveying degree or HNC and they would also consider applicants who have not obtained a relevant qualification but have experience in Quantity Surveying; experience within the new build housing sector would be preferable. You will be an enthusiastic individual, keen to learn and progress in the residential sector.

The salary on offer depends on the level of experience but would likely be in the region of £18k - £22k.

The role is predominately an office based role however there will be occasions where you will be required to do site visits. Therefore, the ideal candidate will hold a full UK driving license or will be in the process of attaining a license.
